DYNOMITE HEAVY DUTY INJECTION
FAQ
What is the difference between "Remanufactured" and "Rebuilt" injectors?
A "rebuilt" injector typically relies on a "fix-what’s-broken" approach where only failed components are replaced. In contrast, our remanufacturing process involves a total teardown and ultrasonic cleaning of the injector. We replace 100% of critical wear parts with new components and re-validate the unit to perform better than original OEM specifications.
How are these injectors tested before they are shipped?
Every injector undergoes multi-point validation on a computerized test bench rather than a simple pressure check. We measure static and dynamic leaks at over 25,000 psi, fuel delivery volume at various load points, solenoid response time, and shot-to-shot consistency to ensure reliability.
Do your Heavy Duty injectors come with Trim Codes?
Yes, most modern heavy-duty engines require a Trim Code (or Flow Code) for the ECM. We record the injector’s unique flow characteristics during final calibration to generate this code. Entering this code ensures the engine balances power across all cylinders, preventing rough idles and optimizing fuel economy.
Why does Dynomite Heavy Duty Injection not offer a "test and advise" service?
Offering a testing service for these injectors is generally a waste of your time and money. To prevent damaging our equipment with contaminants, we must tear down and clean the injector before testing. Since injectors are usually sent in due to failure or performance issues, it is more efficient to skip testing potentially failing parts and proceed immediately to remanufacturing.
Why is cleanliness so emphasized during installation?
Internal injector tolerances are measured in microns, which is far thinner than a human hair. A single speck of dust introduced during installation can score a needle or plug a nozzle orifice, leading to immediate failure. We recommend thoroughly cleaning injector bores and keeping protective caps on until the very moment of installation.
What kind of warranty do you provide?
We provide a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty on the injector. Because we replace 100% of the critical internal parts, we expect our injectors to match or improve upon the service life of a brand-new OEM unit.
What constitutes an "acceptable" core for return?
To receive full core credit, the injector must be complete and in "as-removed" condition. We generally cannot accept cores that have external fire damage, heavy corrosion where the body is pitted, or missing major components like the solenoid or nozzle nut.
